Sharp wins at Watkins Glen!
The AWOR series took the the beautiful scenery of upstate New York for a 40 lap showdown at Watkins Glen. Niles Anders was fast in practice, but was bested in qualifying by the blazing fast lap of 1:00.626 set by Taylor Munroe.
Sharp scores first AOWR win in wild Daytona race
If qualifying was going to be an indicator to this race, it was sure to be a shootout. Niles Anders took top honors in qualifying by setting the pace with a blazing lap of 36.923 to back up his impressive 2nd fastest time in practice. After it was said and done, the entire field was separated by less than .75 seconds in qualifying.
Doyle goes “Back 2 Back”, Overtakes points lead at Darlington
Doyle leads 75 laps en route to victory at Darlington as Anders falters late. More details to follow.
AOWR “Hits the road”, Doyle wins in Indianapolis!
Tim Doyle started 2nd, behind series new-comer Bruce Brown who started from the iRStats pole, and lead X laps to win the first ever Road Course event for the American Open Wheel Racing series. Doyle ran a mistake free race, leading 11 of the races 15 starters to the checkered flag.
Logan wins under caution in season opener in Vegas!
In one of the most exciting AOWR events to date, Rob Logan snatched victory as several front-runners falter during green flag pit stops. Logan dominated the event, leading 84 of the 100 laps, but saw formidable competition in the waning laps from brothers Todd and Cary Bettenhausen.
